Each bottle is crafted by hand, small-batch distilled using carefully selected botanicals many of which are sourced locally. Our commitment to natural, quality ingredients allows us to deliver spirits of exceptional character and flavour.
Our Story
The Karven story began in 2015, around a bonfire on a family farm in Riverhead—fuelled by good conversation and a spark of imagination. It was there that two good mates recognised something remarkable in the land beneath their feet: an organic farm with its own pristine artesian water supply and an abundance of pure native ingredients and natural botanicals. A place capable of producing spirits with a distinctly New Zealand soul.
In that moment, the idea for Karven took root—born from purity, shaped by the land, and driven by a commitment to crafting spirits that honour their origin.
And for Karven, that origin will always be Riverhead—wild, honest, and uniquely New Zealand.
